Plungers, Cylinders and Attachments for Type B / F / N Depositors
Belshaw plungers are high-quality stainless steel manufactured to very close tolerances. Sizes are in 1/8" increments through the range shown in the table below. Size is obtained by measuring the diameter of the base of the plunger.
CYLINDERS: Cylinders (see example at right) are inserted into the base of the hopper. Every plunger must match a similar size cylinder. More than one plunger can be used with the same cylinder, provided all are the same size.
ATTACHMENTS: Attachments are economical ways to obtain extra varieties from a plain plunger. They are an easy fit onto the shaft of the plunger.
DEPOSITOR TYPES: Plungers, cylinders and attachments are identical for Type B and Type F. Type N plungers are almost identical but shorter, and NOT interchangeable with Type B/F. The Donut Robot ® Mark 9 is the only Donut Robot that makes a full variety of cake donuts, and it uses Type N plungers. Click here for other Donut Robot plungers.
Plunger selection guide
Cylinder selection
Cylinders are inserted into the base of your Belshaw hopper. The plunger passes through the heavy duty, precision-manufactured cylinder liner with a minimum of clearance to form cake donuts. After depositing many thousands of donuts, friction gradually wears out the sleeve on the interior, to the point where you need a new cylinder.
For all Belshaw depositors:
- Each plunger you use must match a cylinder of the exact same size. For instance, you cannot use a 1-1/2" plunger with a 1-3/4" cylinder.
- Several plungers may be used with one cylinder, provided all are the same size.
Cylinder - for Type B and FA 1-3/4" plain plunger and cylinder is standard with Type B and Type F depositor. Type B and F cylinders are interchangeable, and any size will fit any Type B and Type F depositor. When ordering cylinders, specify both part number and size.35SSA - small bore, for plungers 7/8",
